I have been traveling like crazy!!! It has been fun!

May 11, 2009

I guess my adventures kind of begin with my paid vacation for a job interview at the University of Wisconsin Research Survey Center. I was able to spend the weekend with one of my good friends from BYU in Madison. We looked around the "city" a little and also searched out some apartments in case I ended up moving to Wisconsin. My interview with the survey center went well... throughout the day touring the campus and survey center they provided many plugs as to why I would want to join their forces... it was a rather strange interview because by the end of the day as they were dropping me off at the airport he told me he would get back to me in the next week and half to let me know what was going on. Two and a half weeks later I got anxious and emailed them asking for their decision so I could continue to make decisions for my life. I had tossed and turned with the idea of moving to Wisconsin. I had finally decided 100% that I would take the job in Wisconsin and move my way out for another adventure in a new state. However, I was sadly informed that the client who's project i would be running had postponed their research and weren't going to be starting their research on families for at least another few months. If I wanted I could keep looking up their website and see when the job posting would be listed again but at this time the job had been taken off the market.

I was devastated at first mostly because I had finally made a decision to go there and I knew I was the best canidate for the job... but as a few days past... I realized I needed to accept it as a direct answer to my fasting and prayers. I had specifically asked that the decision would be easy for to me make... how more clear could this be??? not to mention it wasn't really that i didn't get the job because there was someone else better for the positon but it was just put off the market....

If I got the job I wasn't going to be able to start until after July so in the mean time I had a few more vacations planned until then... who really needs to look for a job? not me... at least not yet!!!

During the month of MAY I had lots of fun little trips up to Logan to visit Katie... so much fun! I feel very much at home there with the Gardner family-- it is my refugee when life gets a little too cumbersome to handle :) here are a few cute pictures!

Carolyn-Kate made me a very happy unbirthday cake with candles and everything! Very creative using grapes for decoration.

Time for a little bit of weekend fun! Roasting hot dogs and making yummy smores up Logan Canyon!

Eating some Aggies Ice Cream... Delicious!

I totally got to hang out with my family too!!! I had lots of chances to go to Tommy and Sammie's soccer game and T-ball games... here are a few of the pictures for that! It has been fun being home with family, it has been a while since I have been able to simply hang out with them.
